About Her

 

Chandler Bingham, a native Detroiter, where she trained in ballet,  jazz, modern and contemporary ballet. She was a company member at Lewis Cass Technical High School under the direction of Anthony L. Smith.  During her studies, she has performed repertoire by Aubrey Lynch, Terrance Greene, DuJuan Smart, Demetrius Shields, and many others. She has also performed at various events, including; the International Association of Blacks in Dance Conference (I.A.B.D), National High School Dance Festival, and Michigan Youths Art Festival.  While in attendance at I.A.B.D., Chandler had the opportunity to perform at the Kennedy Center with her fellow Cass Tech Dance Company members.

She decided to further her dance education at Point Park University. She was accepted into the Conservatory of Performing Arts (C.O.P.A) - Dance Program, where she is currently working towards obtaining her Bachelors of Arts Dance with a Minor in History.  Chandler’s expected graduation from Point Park University is slated for the Spring of 2019. Thus far, while training with the Conservatory, she has performed works by; Daniel Karasik, Kiki Lucas and David Norsworthy. She also, recently attended the Movement Invention Project (NYC) under the direction of Francesca Harper.
